What changes when you convert OBJ to glTF
glTF can hold everything OBJ can and more: meshes, PBR materials, textures. Drop the .mtl and texture images together with the .obj (or zip them) so the materials come across.
The .gltf output comes with its .bin buffer (and textures) in a ZIP; choose the embedded option for a single self-contained .gltf file.
OBJ has no units, so choose what its numbers mean (the default is metres). glTF is always in metres, so the size is converted.
